Workshop Technician in the T700 Engine Shop.
Assist the Engine Supervisor with inspections, servicing, and repairs on assigned aircraft turbine engines and components.
Responsibilities
- Remove, replace, service, prepare, preserve, clean, and store engine assemblies or components.
- Disassemble, repair, reassemble, adjust, diagnose, and test turbine engine systems, subsystems, and components according to manuals and directives.
- Assist with troubleshooting engines and components and rigging engine controls.
- Use and perform user maintenance on common and special tools.
- Requisition aircraft parts and maintain shop and bench stock for repairs.
- Inspect and prepare forms and records in accordance with DA PAM 738-751.
- Train host-national personnel in engine and component maintenance.
- Maintain inventory of tools and equipment assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum qualifications
- High school education.
- FAA Power Plant (P) license or equivalent.
- Formal turbine engine training from an accredited military or civilian aeronautical school.
- At least 5 years of experience working with aircraft engines relevant to the aircraft platform and position.
- Knowledge of The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) is preferred.
