Desert Man Transporting & Contracting LLC (DMTC) is a leading Abu Dhabi-based contracting and transportation company established in 2003.
We specialize in civil construction, earthworks, road and pipeline projects, heavy equipment rental, transportation services, and material supply.
With a large fleet of construction equipment and vehicles, we support major infrastructure and development projects across the UAE.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Workshop Administrator to support the daily operations of our heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance workshop.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining workshop records, coordinating maintenance schedules, managing documentation, and ensuring smooth communication between workshop staff, suppliers, and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain workshop records, job cards, service reports, and maintenance history.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for heavy equipment, trucks, buses, and machinery.
- Monitor spare parts requests and inventory records.
- Prepare purchase requests and follow up with procurement for workshop requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment downtime and repair activities.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly workshop reports.
- Coordinate with workshop supervisors, mechanics, drivers, and operations teams.
- Ensure all vehicle and equipment documents are updated and properly filed.
- Assist in warranty tracking and vendor/service provider coordination.
- Support compliance with company HSE and quality procedures.
- Manage workshop administrative documentation and filing systems.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in workshop administration, fleet maintenance administration, or equipment maintenance coordination.
- Experience in construction, transportation, heavy equipment, or contracting companies preferred.
- Strong knowledge of workshop documentation and maintenance processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with ERP or fleet management systems is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
