The Work Permit Receiver (WPR) is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and managing work permits for project activities at site locations, ensuring that all safety requirements are implemented before and during work execution, in compliance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
- Receive and review work permits to ensure all requirements are met before starting any work.
- Coordinate with the HSE department and relevant parties for permit approval.
- Ensure that safety procedures and precautionary measures are implemented before and during work execution.
- Monitor site activities and ensure compliance with approved permit conditions.
- Stop any work that does not comply with permit requirements or poses a safety risk.
- Ensure proper closure of work permits upon completion of activities.
- Coordinate with work teams and supervisors to ensure work is carried out according to approved permits.
- Maintain and organize work permit records and documentation.
- Report any violations or safety-related observations.
Minimum Requirements
- Good knowledge of work permit procedures in industrial and project sites.
- Good understanding of occupational health and safety requirements.
- Ability to follow procedures and ensure compliance at site.
- Good communication and coordination skills with work teams.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing documents.
Qualifications
- Technical Diploma in a relevant technical field.
Working Conditions
- Field-based work at project sites.
Authority
- As per the company’s approved authorization matrix.
Required Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in work permits or field/site work.
Physical Requirements
- Physically fit and capable of working in project and site environments.
Position Profile
- The role holder shall be capable of:
- Managing and monitoring work permits at site.
- Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and permit conditions before work starts.
- Coordinating with HSE teams and site supervisors.
- Stopping non-compliant or unsafe work activities.
- Maintaining accurate and organized work permit records.
