About This Role
Role Overview
The Web Developer will be responsible for developing, updating, improving, and maintaining websites for Sensia Ventures and its related projects. The main focus will be on WordPress website development, including custom themes, plugins, page builders, website performance, SEO, security, and ongoing website updates.
A key requirement for this role is having a strong sense of design. The candidate should be able to create visually appealing web pages, select suitable images and videos, design banners, improve page layouts, and make websites look modern without needing constant guidance.
The candidate should also be comfortable handling content updates, blog uploads, SEO updates, and basic digital marketing-related website tasks
Key Responsibilities
WordPress Development
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites.
- Build and modify WordPress themes and plugins.
- Work with page builders such as Elementor and WPBakery.
- Create and update website pages, landing pages, service pages, blog pages, forms, headers, footers, and menus.
- Ensure websites are responsive and work properly on desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Troubleshoot and fix website issues, bugs, plugin conflicts, and layout problems.
- Maintain existing websites and perform regular updates when required.
- Integrate third-party tools, plugins, forms, tracking codes, and APIs when needed.
Website Design and Visual Presentation
- Design clean, modern, and professional website pages.
- Create visually attractive website sections, banners, landing pages, and layouts.
- Select suitable images, videos, icons, graphics, and other visual assets efficiently.
- Improve website pages so they are easier to read, more attractive, and more user-friendly.
- Ensure website visuals match the company’s branding, tone, and business goals.
- Apply basic UI/UX principles when designing or updating pages.
- Make websites look polished and professional without relying on a designer for every small change.
- Edit or prepare simple website graphics when required.
Content Upload, Blogs, and Website Updates
- Upload and format website content, service pages, blogs, articles, and news updates.
- Ensure content is properly structured with headings, images, links, buttons, and calls-to-action.
- Format blog posts to look professional and easy to read.
- Add internal links, images, meta titles, meta descriptions, and SEO-friendly headings.
- Update existing website content when required.
- Coordinate with management or marketing team to publish website updates on time.
SEO and Basic Digital Marketing Support
- Apply basic SEO best practices to website pages and blog posts.
- Update meta titles, meta descriptions, URLs, image alt text, and headings.
- Improve website structure for better user experience and search engine visibility.
- Support basic digital marketing tasks related to websites, landing pages, forms, tracking, and campaigns.
- Create or update landing pages for marketing campaigns.
- Add tracking codes such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, or similar tools when required.
- Monitor and improve website performance from a user and marketing perspective.
Website Performance and Security
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, responsiveness, and reliability.
- Compress and optimize images, videos, scripts, and website assets.
- Conduct regular website checks for performance, security, broken links, and technical errors.
- Implement basic security measures to protect websites from common vulnerabilities.
- Keep WordPress, plugins, and themes updated safely.
- Ensure websites are compatible across major browsers and devices.
Problem-Solving and Technical Support
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues quickly.
- Work under deadlines and handle urgent website changes when required.
- Make practical technical decisions without needing constant supervision.
- Recommend improvements to website design, layout, functionality, speed, and user experience.
- Provide support for website-related requests from management and internal teams.
- Manage multiple website tasks and projects at the same time.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer.
- Strong experience with WordPress website development and customization.
- Experience with WordPress themes, plugins, and page builders.
- Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
- Experience using Elementor and/or WPBakery Page Builder.
- Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-friendly website design.
- Good eye for design, layout, spacing, typography, colors, and visual presentation.
- Ability to select suitable images, videos, icons, and graphics for website pages.
- Experience uploading and formatting website content and blog posts.
- Basic understanding of SEO and website content optimization.
- Experience with website speed optimization.
- Understanding of basic website security practices.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work quickly and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Figma and Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience creating website banners, mockups, landing page designs, or simple graphics.
- Experience with Shopify development.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs into WordPress.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Basic knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, or Meta Pixel.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and GDPR/data privacy requirements.
- Basic knowledge of Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or other design tools.
- Basic knowledge of Python, Django, or Flask would be an added advantage, but is not required.

- Can work independently and solve problems quickly.
- Understands that a website should not only function properly, but also look good and support business growth.
- Is organized, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per hour
