Role overview

Role responsibilities

• Evaluate CMS and digital experience platforms against authoring, integration, security, hosting, and cost criteria; provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Prototype platform capabilities and emerging tools, then recommend adoption approaches.
• Evolve platform tooling for site creation, reusable components and templates, automated testing, and content at scale.
• Define architecture and migration approaches for legacy sites, including patterns, risks, dependencies, and quality gates.
• Translate website needs into requirements for hosting, integrations, APIs, and AI/MCP layers; partner with infrastructure and engineering.
• Shape AI-enabled content and delivery with governance and controls.
• Support security, privacy, consent, accessibility, performance, SEO, and regulatory compliance.
• Resolve complex technical issues and drive lasting platform improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; 10+ years in web engineering and architecture, including 5+ years hands-on with enterprise CMS or DXP.
• Hands-on experience with multiple enterprise CMS platforms, including Adobe Experience Manager and Drupal or a headless CMS such as Sanity or Contentful.
• Experience leading or contributing technically to CMS evaluation, selection, or replatforming.
• Strong coding and prototyping skills, including work in GitHub repositories.
• Knowledge of web architecture, front-end technologies, APIs, CI/CD, CDNs, and third-party integrations.
• Experience translating business needs into platform requirements and working with infrastructure, product, and vendors.
• Practical understanding of web security, privacy and consent, accessibility, performance, and SEO.

Technical experience

• CMS and DXP: Adobe Experience Manager, including Edge Delivery Services and DA.live; Drupal; headless CMS such as Sanity or Contentful.
• Front end: JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks such as React or Next.js.
• Platform and delivery: Git and GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, CDNs, cloud hosting such as AWS or Azure, and automated testing.
• Integrations: REST and GraphQL APIs, analytics, consent management, identity, forms, and CRM.
• AI: LLM-based content tooling, MCP, and AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with AI-assisted authoring, LLM tools, or building and consuming MCP servers is preferred.
• Adobe Edge Delivery Services authoring experience, including Document Authoring, is preferred.
• Multi-site platforms, site factories, internal developer tooling, and automated testing experience are preferred.
• Regulated-industry experience, ideally life sciences or pharma, and work in large federated enterprises are preferred.
