Role Overview

UI/UX and Visual Design

• Support wireframing, user flows, mockups, and high-fidelity visual design for websites, landing pages, and web assets.
• Apply typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy to create clean, engaging designs.
• Help maintain responsive layouts across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Follow design systems, component libraries, and brand guidelines.
• Assist with page layouts and site flow using information architecture.

Research and Usability

• Support basic user research and usability testing activities.
• Identify usability issues and suggest improvements based on findings.
• Learn to apply interaction design principles to make experiences intuitive.

AI-Assisted Development

• Use tools such as Cursor and Lovable for AI-assisted development and rapid prototyping.
• Practice prompt engineering to generate and iterate on layouts, components, and prototypes.
• Use no-code and low-code tools to support rapid design iteration.
• Learn basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to understand working web pages.

Handoff, QA, and Collaboration

• Prepare design specifications, assets, and documentation for developer handoff.
• Assist with cross-browser testing to confirm consistent display.
• Help apply WCAG accessibility guidelines.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and marketing team members in reviews and feedback sessions.
• Use Canva for quick visual assets and marketing or design support.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong interest in UI/UX design, web design, or a related field, supported by coursework, personal projects, or freelance work.
• Basic understanding of responsive design and mobile-first thinking.
• Foundational skills in typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Familiarity with at least one design tool such as Figma, Adobe XD, Canva, or a similar tool.
• Good communication, time management, openness to feedback, and attention to detail.
• Pursuing or recently completing a relevant degree, diploma, or certification is required.
• Equivalent self-taught experience, professional certifications, or bootcamp training will also be considered.
• Candidates should provide a portfolio or samples of relevant design work.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with vibe coding, prompt engineering, or no-code and low-code tools.
• Basic understanding of user research, usability testing, or user flows.
• Awareness of WCAG standards and inclusive design practices.
• Interest in design systems or component libraries.
• Personal or academic projects involving landing pages, mockups, or prototypes.
