Technician role supporting water, storm water, drainage, sewage, and utility projects in the UAE.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, calibrate, and maintain water flow meters and related instruments.
- Troubleshoot faults and repair or replace meter components; test and commission flow measurement systems.
- Read drawings and manuals; ensure correct alignment, connections, wiring, and signal transmission.
- Record readings, test and calibration results, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, supervisors, and site teams; follow project specifications, HSE requirements, and company procedures.
Requirements
- At least 3–5 years of relevant UAE experience in flow meters, instrumentation, or utility projects; 2 years of water flow meter experience is also listed as required.
- TAQA approval is required.
- Practical experience with electromagnetic, ultrasonic, mechanical, or other water flow meters; knowledge of installation, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work on construction sites and utility projects.
- Basic electrical or instrumentation knowledge is preferred; a UAE driving license is an advantage.
- Experience in storm water, drainage, sewage, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
- TAQA TRANSCO certification or competency is an advantage.
Workplace and employment
- Full-time role based in Abu Dhabi, UAE; work location is in person.
