Role Overview
The employer is hiring a Process Engineer in Sharjah for water and wastewater treatment process design and proposal work.
The role covers tender review, technical submittals, process design, costing, supplier coordination, and project execution support.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review tenders, interpret client requirements, and propose suitable technical solutions.
- Develop process designs, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, layouts, power and chemical requirements, and submittal documentation.
- Use RO and UF/MF simulation software and prepare mass balances, consumption schedules, and operating cost estimates.
- Identify opportunities, assess feasibility, and liaise with clients and end users.
- Support commissioning, design reviews, site troubleshooting, risk assessments, and HAZOP activities.
- Coordinate with engineering, project, procurement, suppliers, and partners during bidding and project execution.
- Research and implement new technologies, processes, and product partnerships.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related engineering field is required.
- Three to five years of process design engineering experience in the specified tasks is required.
- GCC experience is preferred.
- Expertise in water and wastewater treatment processes and experience in the water field are required.
Skills
- Knowledge of process standards and design requirements.
- Experience with process simulations, process design, and process engineering software packages.
- Tendering, costing, budgeting, report writing, documentation development, risk management, and mitigation skills.
