Reverse Osmosis - Design Engineer

Role overview

Design and proposals

• Evaluate tender and inquiry specifications and prepare techno-commercial proposals, designs, drawings, costing, scopes of work, bills of quantities, reports, OPEX, and technical submittals.
• Design treatment processes and detailed hydraulics for water and wastewater plants, including RO, UF, DI, UV, disinfection, filtration, and membrane technologies.
• Prepare process designs, hydraulic calculations, P&IDs, equipment layouts, and technical submittals.
• Develop optimized proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and life-cycle cost analyses; coordinate timely proposal submissions.

Project and business support

• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal departments during bidding.
• Provide process support to project teams during execution, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Identify innovative technologies and process improvements to enhance project competitiveness.
• Conduct sales activities to drive business opportunities and project acquisition for municipal and industrial systems.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry.

Technical skills

• Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, including RO; experience in process design, optimization, and process simulation.
• Expertise in hydraulic calculations and engineering documentation, and in equipment selection and RO and UF plant assembly, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Knowledge of international process engineering standards; cost estimation and budgeting skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
