We are seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Supervisor & Forklift Operator to join our team.
The successful candidate will oversee warehouse operations and manage logistics efficiently while operating a forklift.
This dual role requires exceptional organizational skills, a deep understanding of warehouse management, and the ability to operate a forklift safely and effectively.
The role involves managing a team of warehouse staff, ensuring inventory is tracked accurately, and coordinating with other departments to ensure timely shipment of products.
The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience in a warehouse setting and a valid forklift operator license.
This position offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment while applying your skills and experience in logistics and operations management.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily operations of the warehouse team efficiently.
- Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload inventory as necessary.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate stock levels are maintained.
- Coordinate with suppliers and transportation companies for timely deliveries.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Train and evaluate warehouse staff to enhance team productivity and skill.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Develop and implement warehouse process improvements to optimize operations.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records and reports on warehouse activities.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments to meet organizational goals.
- Resolve operational issues promptly to ensure smooth warehouse functions.
- Monitor warehouse expenditures and adhere to the allocated budget constraints.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree preferred in logistics.
- Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor and forklift operator required.
- Valid forklift operator certification for the efficient handling of equipment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety and management processes.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and coordination.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management software and MS Office applications.
- Physical fitness to perform warehouse tasks, including heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
