Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor / Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and distribution of goods.
This role involves managing inventory, supervising staff, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring that all warehouse processes run smoothly to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Conduct regular stock audits and resolve discrepancies.
- Supervise, train, and manage warehouse staff to ensure productivity and efficiency.
- Plan and organize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and other departments for smooth material flow.
- Monitor and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
- Handle documentation and maintain records of all warehouse transactions.
- Manage returns, damaged goods, and reverse logistics processes.
- Prepare operational reports and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, with supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse management software (WMS/ERP).
- Strong understanding of warehouse best practices and safety standards
