At Ace Ohlsson, we’re proud of our deep connection to rural Australia, and our people are at the heart of that connection.

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Storeperson / Yard Person / Forklift Operator to join our McGraths Hill team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is a hands-on, varied role supporting the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and yard. You will play an important part in ensuring stock is received, handled, stored and dispatched safely and efficiently, while helping maintain a clean, organised and professional working environment.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well as part of a team and understands the importance of safety, accuracy and getting the job done right the first time.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move and store stock.
  • Receive deliveries, check documentation, process stock movements, and pick, pack and prepare customer orders.
  • Assist with stock control, stocktakes and accurate goods-inwards and outwards processing.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, safe and organised warehouse and yard, including general site maintenance.
  • Ensure stock, including agricultural chemicals and rural merchandise, is handled, stacked, stored and secured safely.
  • Follow WHS procedures, including safe manual handling and forklift practices.
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse, sales and branch teams to support daily operations and deliver reliable customer service.
  • Undertake other warehouse and yard duties as required.
  • About you
  • Current forklift licence required.
  • Experience in warehousing, yard operations, logistics or forklift operation is highly regarded.
  • Strong commitment to WHS, housekeeping and maintaining a tidy work environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, hands-on and physically fit for manual handling and outdoor yard work.
  • Good attention to detail when receiving, handling and picking stock.
  • Positive team player who follows instructions and established procedures.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to assist colleagues and customers.
  • Experience with agricultural chemicals, fertilisers, rural merchandise or bulk products is an advantage; a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are equally valued.
