Warehouse duties
- Operate sit-down, stand-up, reach-truck, and other forklifts to load, unload, stack, and move materials safely.
- Inspect forklifts and other equipment before operation and report malfunctions or safety concerns.
- Receive, inspect, and verify shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Pick and prepare outgoing orders, ensuring the correct products and quantities.
- Organize materials in designated storage areas and conduct cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, keep the work area clean, and communicate with supervisors, team members, and other departments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven forklift-operator experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Valid forklift certification or ability to successfully complete Crown's forklift training and certification program.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Able to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Basic math skills and ability to accurately count and verify inventory.
- Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly; strong hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Able to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
