Job Summary
Responsible for providing excellent customer service to restaurant while ensuring an enjoyable dining experience.
Involves taking food and beverage orders, serving meals, and attending to guest needs throughout their visit.
Must be attentive, efficient, and courteous, with a strong knowledge of menu items and the ability to anticipate customer preferences.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Greet customers warmly as they enter the restaurant and escort them to their tables.
2.
Present menus, provide recommendations, and answer questions about menu items, specials, and beverage options.
3.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff promptly.
4.
Check back with customers to ensure satisfaction with their meals and address any concerns or special requests.
5.
Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner, following established service standards.
6.
Ensure that each dish is presented attractively and according to the customer's specifications.
7.
Monitor tableware, glassware, and utensils for cleanliness and replenish supplies as needed.
8.
Assist in preparing and serving specialty drinks or cocktails, if applicable.
9.
Set tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, and linens before guests arrive.
10.
Clear tables of used dishes, glassware, and utensils between courses and after meals.
11.
Reset tables efficiently for the next guests, ensuring a clean and inviting dining environment.
12.
Thank customers for their patronage and invite them to return to the restaurant.
13.
Collaborate with kitchen to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
14.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate tasks and address customer needs.
15.
Present bills to customers and process payments accurately, using cash, credit/debit cards, or electronic payment methods.
16.
Assist in cleaning and maintaining the dining area, including sweeping floors, wiping tables, and sanitizing surfaces.
17.
Performs other duties assigned.
Qualification, Experience & Knowledge
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· 1 to 2 years’ experience in similar role.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Knowledge of food and beverage items, including menu descriptions, ingredients, and preparation methods.
· Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating bills.
· Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift trays or carry trays of food and drinks.
· Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
