A friendly and reliable Food Service Assistant is sought to support daily food service, serve customers, maintain the dining area, and help the team operate smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome customers, take orders accurately, and communicate orders to the kitchen team.
- Serve food and beverages, set up and clear tables, and maintain clean, organized service areas.
- Answer menu questions and coordinate customer requirements with kitchen staff.
- Check that orders are correct and served on time; handle basic requests and raise issues with the supervisor.
- Follow hygiene, safety, and service procedures and assist with other routine food service duties.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in food service, hospitality, or a similar role.
- Good communication and customer-service skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Presentable, polite, and professional approach; able to work efficiently in a busy service environment.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and service practices.
