We are looking for a highly entrepreneurial and technically strong VP Product, Engagement to lead the customer engagement, retention, and acquisition layer across our platform.

This role sits at the intersection of product, design, data science, growth, and marketplace leadership, owning platform-wide experiences such engagement levers, traffic distribution, personalization, loyalty, gamification, rewards, and customer engagement journeys.

As a senior cross-functional leader, you will work closely with marketplace GMs, engineering, data science, design, and growth teams to build experiences that drive long-term customer engagement and retention across the ecosystem.

The ideal candidate comes from consumer technology, gaming, social, or other engagement-led products and has a strong understanding of behavioral design, retention loops, habit formation, and customer engagement mechanics.

Platform Engagement Strategy

  • Define and own the engagement strategy across the entire platform, ensuring customers have compelling reasons to return and engage regularly.
  • Build the long-term vision for customer retention, acquisition, loyalty, gamification, rewards, and engagement mechanics.
  • Create experiences that increase customer frequency, retention, session depth, and overall engagement.
  • Identify new opportunities to drive habit formation and increase customer lifetime value across all marketplaces.

Customer Engagement & Retention

  • Own the design and evolution of engagement systems including rewards, challenges, missions, achievements, streaks, referral mechanics, and other retention initiatives.
  • Develop innovative engagement experiences that create recurring customer behavior.
  • Lead experimentation across acquisition, retention, engagement, and reactivation initiatives.
  • Continuously evaluate customer behavior and optimize engagement funnels using data-driven insights.

CRM & Personalization

  • Own platform-wide traffic distribution strategy, customer segmentation, lifecycle management, communication frameworks, and engagement journeys.
  • Partner closely with data science teams to improve targeting, personalization, recommendation systems, and customer messaging effectiveness.
  • Build sophisticated customer engagement programs that leverage behavioral signals and predictive analytics.
  • Ensure communication strategies drive meaningful customer engagement rather than simply increasing message volume.

Traffic Distribution & Discovery

  • Own traffic allocation and distribution frameworks across marketplaces and customer journeys.
  • Partner with engineering and data science teams to optimize content discovery, recommendations, ranking systems, and customer navigation.
  • Ensure platform traffic is distributed effectively to maximize customer engagement and business outcomes.
  • Develop experimentation frameworks that continuously improve customer discovery experiences.

Product Leadership

  • Work closely with marketplace GMs to align engagement initiatives with broader business objectives.
  • Influence product strategy across multiple business units and marketplaces.
  • Lead complex cross-functional initiatives that require coordination across product, engineering, design, data science, growth, and commercial teams.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on customer impact, business value, and long-term strategic goals.

Design & User Experience

  • Partner deeply with design teams to ensure engagement experiences feel intuitive, seamless, and native within each marketplace.
  • Champion exceptional user experience and customer-centric product development.
  • Ensure engagement mechanics enhance rather than disrupt the customer journey.
  • Drive high-quality execution across all customer-facing experiences.

Experimentation & Innovation

  • Build a culture of rapid experimentation, testing, learning, and iteration.
  • Continuously launch, measure, refine, and retire engagement initiatives based on performance.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends across gaming, social media, content platforms, consumer technology, and digital engagement.
  • Identify emerging engagement patterns and adapt them for the platform where relevant.
  • What you'll need:
  • Experience leading product teams within consumer technology, gaming, social platforms, content ecosystems, marketplaces, or high-scale digital products.
  • Strong track record of building and scaling engagement, retention, loyalty, gamification, or growth products.
  • Deep understanding of customer behavior, retention frameworks, engagement loops, and habit-forming product design.
  • Strong technical product management capabilities with the ability to work closely with engineering teams on complex platform systems.
  • Background in growth product management, customer retention, or platform product leadership.
  • Experience managing platform-level products that serve multiple business units or marketplaces.
  • Experience partnering with data science and analytics teams to drive product decisions and optimize customer outcomes.
  • Excellent understanding of experimentation methodologies, A/B testing, and data-driven product development.
  • Strong product intuition combined with analytical rigor.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership across multiple business units.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
