Steer the plans to attract new clients while representing the company in port’s events aiming to strengthen AD Ports Group image.
The role is responsible also for in shaping long term objectives, optimizing operations while maintaining high standards of efficiency and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Oversee cruise planning and operations locally and globally aiming to achieve excellent customer service while maximizing revenue opportunities.
- Set up the operational methodology for cruise terminal ports and products developed and operated by Abu Dhabi Ports Group.
- Evaluate cruise expansions opportunities from operational perspective for operating and development cruise terminals inside or outside Abu Dhabi.
- Lead the expansion, implementation and the operation of the cruise ports and business operated by AD Ports.
- Lead the implementation, the concept of agile cruise terminals that cater for cruise business operations and serve the purpose to multi use the facilities during offseason, embracing key operational competences of flexibility, adaptation and mobility locally and globally.
- Develop, manage and execute the operating methodology, development themes, infrastructure designs/configuration, stakeholders’ analysis of cruise infrastructure and operations locally and globally.
- Direct the development of all AD Ports Group cruise related quality assurance and excellence elements and manage the operational performance reporting of cruise operations, in relation to the established key performance indicators (KPIs) at the cruise ports operated and managed by AD Ports Group.
- Instruct having a high-quality customer service level, ensure to effectively answer all stakeholder’s queries, and direct conducting community engagement activities to have a memorable cruise experience with a smooth running of the operations.
- Oversee the cruise vessel planning activities prior to the terminal arrival, provide directions to ensure meeting the productivity and efficiency standards and lead berth reservations, planning and allocation.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies and industry partners.
- Drive digital transformation and adoption of advanced technologies to streamline operations.
- Oversee benchmarking studies, visits and market research to implement industry best practices and represent AD Ports Group in regional and international cruise events and exhibitions.
- Deliver reports, business plans and presentations enhancing cruise business and recommending plans.
- Support in cruise department’s Marketing and Communication strategies such as but not limited to press releases, newsletters and marketing collaterals.
• People Management Responsibilite

- Manage the performance of direct reports, provide constructive feedback and recognize achievements.
- Lead cross functional teams to deliver strategic projects and initiatives.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination among team members, as well as with other departments and external partners.
- Provide induction for new staff and identify skill gaps and training requirements for the teams to ensure proper knowledge transfer and consistent high performance.
- Work with the appropriate units, Departments and related sections such as but not limited to Operations, Quality, Service Excellence, Marketing and Communication, Commercial, Marine Services, Strategy, Finance and Procurements etc. to accommodate all the cruise related matters.
- Strategic Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement long term strategic plans aligned with cruise company strategic direction.
- Lead the strategy making of cruise business that contribute and successfully deliver AD Ports Group strategy.
- Lead the planning and operational strategy for local and international cruise projects in terms of developments solutions, lead designs, infrastructure configuration, and factor operational excellence to the destinations embracing the highest standards.
- Ability to influence or persuade others to gain acceptance or agreement of ideas and approaches.
- Modify or change methodology as required redirecting activities and meeting objectives.
- Taking a proactive approach in inspiring and innovative culture of process improvement to enhance workflow and efficiency.
- Support in Annual budget preparation and negotiations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Relations or a related field.
Master's degree is a plus
