Experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer supporting a major client in Riyadh, with ownership of complex enterprise virtualization environments.
Lead design, optimization, and daily management of large-scale data centers.
Responsibilities
- Own enterprise VMware lifecycle management, primarily with vSphere 7 and 8; administer and optimize VCF, VxRail clusters, hyper-converged infrastructure, and SDDC Manager.
- Design and maintain secure NSX-T software-defined networks, including micro-segmentation and distributed routing.
- Automate tasks, monitor system health, and plan capacity with Aria Suite, Ansible, and PowerCLI.
- Perform P2V/V2V consolidation and migrations from Hyper-V or Nutanix to VMware using HCX.
- Manage SAN/NAS connectivity, LUNs, multipathing, and Fibre Channel configurations.
- Develop and test business continuity plans with Veeam and Site Recovery Manager against RPO and RTO targets.
- Troubleshoot and provision physical server hardware including Dell PowerEdge, MX chassis, and HPE ProLiant.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on technical experience managing enterprise data centers and VMware ecosystems.
- An active VMware Certified Professional VCP-DCV certification is required.
- Expertise with VCF 4.x/5.x, vSAN, vCenter, and HA/DRS cluster optimization.
- Experience with Dell VxRail, enterprise blade servers, VLANs, HSRP, and switch configurations.
- Administration experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Ubuntu or RHEL Linux.
- Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills; able to communicate technical solutions to business stakeholders.
- VCAP, NSX, or Azure AZ-104 credentials are advantageous.
