Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Veterinary Nurse role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Veterinary Nurse will support veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical and surgical care, including preparing patients for procedures, monitoring anesthesia, and providing post-operative care.
Daily responsibilities include assisting with consultations, administering medications and treatments, performing basic laboratory tests, and maintaining accurate medical records.
The role involves providing attentive animal care, supporting pet owners with clear instructions and education, and ensuring that clinical areas and equipment are clean, organized, and properly maintained.
The Veterinary Nurse will also collaborate with the wider clinical team to promote patient safety, efficient workflows, and a positive client experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Veterinary Nursing skills, including assisting with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Candidates should possess Animal Care and Pet Care skills, with the ability to provide compassionate handling, monitoring, and comfort for animals before and after treatment.
- Candidates should possess Anesthesiology skills, including monitoring vital signs, supporting safe anesthesia protocols, and recognizing changes in patient status.
- Candidates should possess Laboratory Skills, such as collecting samples, running basic tests, and following proper hygiene and safety procedures.
- Relevant veterinary nursing qualification or diploma, and eligibility to work in the UAE.
- Experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting, preferably in a multi-specialty or emergency care environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with pet owners and team members from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work in rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Attention to detail, commitment to animal welfare, and willingness to follow established clinical protocols and guidelines.
