Role Overview

The Venue Operations Manager is responsible for the end-to-end operational delivery of event venues, ensuring seamless execution from setup through live operations to final teardown. The role requires strong expertise in multi-venue coordination, vendor management, and health & safety compliance, with a focus on delivering high-quality event experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end venue operations , including setup, live event execution, and teardown

• Coordinate on-site vendors including AV, catering, security, housekeeping, and logistics teams

• Develop and manage floor plans, seating arrangements, and space allocation in line with event requirements

• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and security protocols , including fire safety compliance

• Liaise with venue technical teams for power supply, IT infrastructure, connectivity, and operational logistics

• Monitor venue readiness and conduct pre-event inspections , identifying gaps and managing snagging lists through to closure

• Manage real-time issue resolution during events, ensuring minimal disruption to operations

• Maintain strong coordination with internal stakeholders including event management, guest services, and logistics teams

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, venue policies, and operational standards

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 9+ years of experience in venue operations, facilities management, or large-scale event delivery (conferences, exhibitions, or summits)

• Proven experience managing multiple venues simultaneously

• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety (H&S) regulations , including fire safety and risk mitigation practices

• Technical understanding of AV systems, IT infrastructure, and event production requirements

• Demonstrated ability to manage 15+ vendors/contractors concurrently

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and on-site decision-making skills

• Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments

Preferred Competencies

• Experience working on large-scale international events or government-led programs

• Familiarity with venue compliance audits and regulatory inspections

• Strong organizational and project management capabilities
