Key responsibilities
- Assist the VAT In-charge with end-to-end group VAT compliance.
- Maintain backup data, including VAT return workings, for VAT compliance.
- Review daily VAT transactions and support the review of VAT preparations.
- Review tax recovery processes, support their implementation where applicable, and address compliance issues.
- Assist the Finance team in interpreting VAT matters and conduct VAT audits.
- Prepare and manage documents in line with VAT regulations and related activities.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on UAE VAT refund applications through the FTA portal, including reconciliation support, documentation, and FTA clarifications.
- Use Power BI dashboards and reports for VAT reconciliations, data analysis, trend monitoring, and management reporting support.
- Identify and execute other assigned projects.
Requirements
- At least three years of hands-on UAE VAT experience is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in tax, accountancy, or a related field is required.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance is required.
- GCC VAT knowledge and corporate tax experience are listed as requirements.
- VAT Compliance Diploma is listed as a requirement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Proficiency with tax-related software and tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently as needed.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; adaptability to regulatory and business changes.
Tools and expertise
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, including dashboards and reports, is specified.
- Tax accounting and bookkeeping knowledge is specified.

- Work location is in person.
Pay
- The posting states pay of AED 1–10 per month.
