Role overview

Audit responsibilities

• Audit financial records, accounting transactions, and reporting processes.
• Review general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
• Verify supplier payments, payroll, petty cash, and other disbursements against documentation and approvals.
• Assess internal controls and compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Review monthly reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for discrepancies or unusual transactions.
• Identify errors, duplicate payments, unauthorized transactions, and potential financial irregularities.
• Review expense claims, journal entries, accruals, and provisions for proper documentation and accounting treatment.
• Check applicable accounting standards and UAE regulatory and tax compliance within audit scope.
• Prepare reports on findings, risks, control weaknesses, and corrective recommendations.
• Follow up on corrective measures and maintain audit working papers and evidence.
• Recommend improvements to controls, reporting accuracy, and financial risk management.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ACCA, CPA, CA, CIA, or another professional accounting or auditing qualification is mandatory.
• 5–10 years of relevant internal auditing, financial auditing, or accounting-controls experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, internal controls, financial risks, and audit procedures.
• Hands-on experience auditing financial transactions, supplier payments, and general ledger accounts.
• Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems proficiency.
• Retail, fashion, trading, or FMCG experience is preferred.

Pay

• The description lists pay of AED 2.00–AED 10.00 per month.
