VAN SALESMAN

Job Purpose

Main Responsibilities

• Visit customers daily according to the assigned route.
• Sell food products to groceries, supermarkets, restaurants, cafeterias, and other customers.
• Take orders and deliver products on time.
• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Find new customers and increase sales.
• Maintain customer relationships and promote products, offers, and promotions.
• Check product stock, expiry dates, and condition and follow FIFO or FEFO rotation.
• Handle products carefully during loading and delivery.
• Collect payments and maintain invoices, delivery notes, and sales documents.
• Handle customer complaints and report them to the Sales Supervisor.
• Check competitor products and prices and report market information.
• Maintain the vehicle and submit daily sales and collection reports.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience as a Van Salesman.
• Valid UAE manual driving license is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of UAE roads and locations.
• Good communication, customer service, selling, and negotiation skills.
• Basic English communication is required.
• Ability to achieve sales targets.
• Ability to load and unload food products when required.
• FMCG or food production experience is preferred.
• Bakery, bread, food products, or food distribution experience is advantageous.
• Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam, or Arabic is advantageous.

Skills

• Cash and invoice handling, product knowledge, time management, teamwork, problem solving, honesty, responsibility, and ability to work under pressure.
• Food safety, hygiene, and vehicle safety procedures.
