Accounts Payable Accountant

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice verification and supplier payments.
- Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, goods receipt notes, and invoices before payment processing.
- Maintain vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies on time.
- Prepare AP ageing reports, payment forecasts, accruals, and month-end closing schedules.
- Ensure compliance with VAT regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and other departments to resolve AP-related issues.
- Manage supplier confirmations and AP control sheets in line with group policies.
- Support internal and external audits and drive AP process improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- SOCPA membership is mandatory.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant accounts payable experience.
- Hands-on ERP experience is required; Oracle JDE is preferred, while SAP or equivalent ERP experience is considered.

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
- Ability to analyse financial data and generate reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organisational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in accounts payable processes and procedures.

- The role is based in Khobar, Saudi Arabia.
