Role and compensation

  • Temporary 12-month co-op role in Toronto.
  • Hiring salary range is $2,136.59 to $3,301.53 per bi-weekly pay period.

Role overview

Hydro One is seeking a university co-op student for a customer experience analyst role.

The role focuses on customer insights, engagement strategies, customer-facing materials, and distributed energy resource data.

Job duties

  • Extract, transform, and analyze Distributed Energy Resource Management System datasets in Microsoft Excel.
  • Research industry and customer trends to design effective customer engagement strategies.
  • Analyze customer-facing materials and interaction records to identify customer pain points.
  • Present insights with clear visualizations in PowerPoint or other formats.
  • Write reports and prepare presentations for internal briefings and external knowledge sharing.
  • Coordinate with technical teams and vendors by preparing meeting materials and actioning next steps.

Selection criteria

  • Currently enrolled in a third-year university undergraduate program or a university master's program.
  • Relevant study areas include Business, Economics, Earth and Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, Public Policy, Computer Science, and Mathematics; other programs may be considered.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, research, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience or knowledge of the electricity industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with user-centered design thinking and Microsoft Excel.
  • English fluency and comfort with report writing.

Student eligibility

  • Students must be enrolled in post-secondary studies and return to full-time studies after the work term, unless the work term is required for graduation.
