Embedded with Sia clients across the Middle East, the Forward Deployed Engineer turns generative AI prototypes into production-grade solutions for daily operations.
The role sits on the Middle East Data & AI team and owns technical delivery, bridging engineering teams and business stakeholders.
Work may span agentic systems, enterprise integrations, and AI adoption.
Responsibilities
- Translate client needs into scoped, deployable AI solutions with measurable outcomes.
- Build and deploy production LLM systems, including RAG, tool-calling agents, workflow automation, and conversational interfaces.
- Develop Python or TypeScript services, APIs, connectors, and integrations.
- Apply engineering practices including code review, automated testing, CI/CD, logging, and monitoring; track quality, latency, and cost.
- Work within governed enterprise environments and respect data access controls and security reviews.
- Communicate progress, trade-offs, and risks; escalate scope changes early.
- Support adoption through training, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Help define client needs and technical solutions for business development; contribute to internal AI research, accelerators, and training.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field.
- 2 to 6 years of software engineering or applied AI engineering experience.
- Strong production experience in Python or TypeScript, with LLMs and agents running in production.
- Experience building RAG pipelines, tool-calling agents, and LLM workflows with evaluation and safeguards.
- Hands-on applied AI framework experience, such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI SDK, or Anthropic SDK.
- Experience with API design, integrations, a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), Git, and CI/CD.
- Experience in governed enterprise environments and ability to explain technical decisions to non-technical audiences.
- Professional English is required; Arabic is a plus. Based in the UAE, in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
- No certification is required.
