Turnaround Operations Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

• Challenge and optimize ADNOC Operations teams' strategies for shutdown, decontamination, commissioning, and start-up activities, with a strong focus on reducing turnaround duration.
• Review and challenge operational methodologies for catalyst change activities, ensuring efficient integration with other turnaround tasks during the execution window.
• Monitor and report the progress of operational preparation activities, identifying existing bottlenecks and recommending practical solutions for timely resolution.
• Prepare comprehensive Blind Lists and coordinate their submission to the contractor for execution.
• Coordinate and manage SIMOPs (Simultaneous Operations) activities in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders to ensure safe and effective execution.
• Participate actively in Field Risk Assessments (FRA) and Task Risk Assessments (TRA) meetings, ensuring operational risks are identified and mitigated.
• Ensure the identification, tracking, and timely completion of all Pre-Turnaround activities.
• Coordinate between Operations, Process Engineering, Turnaround Team, and Contractors for equipment scheduling and execution planning.
• Review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to identify Non-TAR equipment and coordinate Pre-TAR and Post-TAR activities with Operations.
• Support the preparation and development of the Turnaround Scope of Work.
• During turnaround execution, ensure decontamination activities are performed in accordance with the approved schedule and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with all stakeholders to prepare the Pre-Start-up Safety Review (PSSR) plan and schedule.
• Facilitate and manage PSSR activities in compliance with all required governance procedures and provide continuous feedback for schedule optimization.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (preferred).
• Proven experience in Oil & Gas Turnaround/Shutdown Projects, preferably with ADNOC or major refinery/petrochemical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of:

+ Shutdown & Start-up Operations

+ Catalyst Change Management

+ FRA & TRA Methodologies

• Excellent P&ID interpretation skills are mandatory.
• Strong planning, scheduling, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.

• Monthly Salary: AED 19,500
