Key Responsibilities
- Daily Route planning of the delivery fleet.
- Co-ordinate distribution, drivers and helpers’ requirements to meet delivery needs.
- Maintain delivery schedules and track deliveries to ensure client needs are met.
- Update and provide delivery tracking information for vehicles, goods, drivers and helpers.
- Report driver issues such as accidents, safety concerns, or licensing issues.
- Direct, investigate, verify and resolve customer complaints, road accidents / incidents or any other unplanned event.
- To maintain the health and safety of the distribution team.
- Keep record of drivers and other staff (License copy /ID card / Health certificate Etc.).
- Assign drivers to deliveries, handle customer complaints, and investigate delivery issues, including returns, late or miss deliveries
- Manage shift deliveries against agreed service standards and operational KPIs
- Ensure all client request are met accurately and within the time scale set.
- Ensure POD’s are properly acknowledged by customers and handover to accounts department on daily basis
- Ensure proper reporting of the activities of the shift
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from accredited University.
- 4-5 years of similar experience in GCC market, including least 2-3 years in UAE
- Good presentation skills
- Experience in route planning
- Ability to develop and maintain an accurate record-keeping system
- Willing to listen to drivers, helpers and customers and resolve issues.
- Handle emergencies: Ability to stay calm and take decisions quickly Excellent attention to detail skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good skills in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word)
- Possessing UAE driving license is preferable.
