About This Role
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Translate official documents, reports, correspondence, agreements, policies, legislation, studies, research papers, academic materials, and curricula from Arabic into English and vice versa.
- Review translated texts for linguistic and terminological accuracy, completeness, and quality prior to delivery.
- Adhere strictly to the Academy s approved terminology and utilize authoritative reference resources, including specialized dictionaries and terminology databases.
- Provide simultaneous and/or consecutive interpretation services for meetings, workshops, conferences, and official visits.
- Deliver on-screen translation and subtitle timing for videos when required.
- Provide translation services for recorded interviews (audio and/or video).
- Coordinate with relevant departments to understand textual context and ensure accurate conveyance of intended meaning.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of information and documents, complying with information security requirements and deadlines.
- Contribute to the development and updating of terminology glossaries and institutional style guides.
- Utilize approved computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and quality (e.g., Trados).
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
