Brief Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Program Lead to own the end-to-end implementation of credit and lending transformation programs for a leading UAE bank.
This role will be responsible for driving large-scale credit and lending change initiatives from design through go-live, ensuring programs are delivered on time, within scope, and to the quality expected by senior stakeholders.
The candidate will work closely with business, technology, and vendor teams to manage delivery, governance, risk, and executive reporting across the program lifecycle.
The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of program management discipline and deep domain knowledge of credit and lending products, and is comfortable operating as a client-facing leader across complex, multi-stakeholder banking transformation programs.
Program Governance & Delivery
- Own end-to-end program governance, planning, and delivery for credit and lending transformation initiatives.
- Define and maintain program plans, milestones, resourcing, and delivery roadmaps.
- Establish and run governance forums, steering committees, and decision-making structures.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Manage business, technology, and vendor stakeholders across the program, ensuring alignment on scope, priorities, and deliverables.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the bank, technology partners, and system integrators.
- Build strong working relationships with senior business and technology sponsors.
Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
- Proactively identify, track, and drive resolution of program risks, issues, and cross-workstream dependencies.
- Escalate critical risks and blockers to senior stakeholders with clear mitigation plans.
- Maintain a robust RAID log and ensure timely follow-through on action items.
Testing, Change Management & Go-Live
- Oversee testing cycles, including SIT, UAT, and go-live readiness assessments.
- Drive change management activities, including stakeholder communication, training, and adoption planning.
- Lead cutover planning and go-live execution, ensuring smooth transition to business-as-usual.
Executive Reporting
- Provide regular, clear executive reporting on program status, risks, and key decisions to senior leadership.
- Prepare steering committee materials and present progress against milestones and business outcomes.
Typical Day-To-Day Activities
- Lead governance meetings with business, technology, and vendor stakeholders.
- Track milestones and monitor overall program health against plan.
- Coordinate implementation teams across workstreams to maintain delivery momentum.
- Review testing progress and deployment readiness ahead of go-live.
- Report project status to senior management and steering committees.
Required Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in banking transformation programs.
- Strong, hands-on experience delivering credit and lending implementation programs.
- Experience within UAE, GCC, or broader global banking environments is preferred.
