Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled MicroStrategy Developer with strong expertise in BI development, data modeling, and SQL.
The role involves building scalable dashboards, optimizing performance, and working closely with business stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and schema objects
- Perform data modeling and schema design (Star/Snowflake)
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views
- Build interactive dashboards using Power BI
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization
- Perform performance tuning across reports, SQL queries, and databases
- Troubleshoot issues related to reports, data pipelines, and performance
- Manage user roles, access control, and security setup
- Monitor and optimize MicroStrategy Intelligence Server performance
- Handle project migrations using Object Manager
- Manage report scheduling, subscriptions, and caching
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in MicroStrategy (Developer, Architect, Web)
- Advanced proficiency in SQL Server
- Experience with Power BI (DAX, data modeling, visualization)
- Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts:
- ETL processes
- Fact & Dimension tables
• Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs)
- Strong experience in query optimization and performance tuning
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) is a plus
