Develop the skills, knowledge, and competencies to progress from ATSEP trainee to ATSEP engineer.
The future engineering role maintains the availability and integrity of ATE or ATM systems or equipment, depending on the allocated CNS working position.
Responsibilities and training
- Complete training phases 1 and 2 with minimum delay to progress to ATSEP engineer.
- Prepare to maintain ATE or ATM systems and equipment according to the assigned CNS working position.
Knowledge and experience
- Previous experience is not expected; an interest in aviation and Communications, Navigation, and Surveillance radar systems is sought.
- Basic technical knowledge of Communications, Navigation, Radar, ATM, or other airport systems is advantageous.
- A valid UAE driving licence is required.
- Be resourceful and able to build trusting relationships; demonstrate attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematic diagrams; be computer literate with MS Office.
Training and credentials
- Training is provided in four phases to meet ICAO Doc 9868 training and Doc 10057 ATSEP competency-based training and assessment standards.
