Physical Security Officer

Role Purpose

Key Accountabilities

• Support pass applicants with applications and supporting documentation; check compliance with current requirements and applicable policy and statutory obligations.
• Follow procedures for airport security and other passes; monitor changes and update internal processes, procedures, and policies as required.
• Liaise with police, airport pass offices, airport authorities, and applicants; track applications and keep applicants informed.
• Maintain professional stakeholder relationships and update databases, files, and trackers in line with operational, statutory, and audit requirements.
• Protect data integrity, follow office procedures and information security policies, and attend safety and information security awareness sessions.
• Answer, redirect, and take messages from telephone calls professionally; perform related duties as directed by senior management.

Knowledge and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data processing and an administration position.
• Knowledge of online and manual government pass application processes.
• Knowledge of airport security requirements, including physical access control.
• Aviation industry experience is preferable.
• Knowledge of administration and management processes within a large organization.
• Diploma-level educational qualification.
