Duties and operating procedures
- Carry out work safely and expeditiously using the procedures and processes in the CNS Exposition and CNS Operations Manual.
- Minimize disruption to air traffic service operations.
Education and experience
- Formal education must include basic electronics.
- A bachelor's degree or Higher Diploma in Electronics Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience, is preferable.
- Some previous experience in an ATE or ATM maintenance environment is required.
- Experience operating basic test and measuring instrumentation is advantageous.
Technical knowledge and competencies
- Complete at least two Phase 1 basic training subjects: Communications, Surveillance, Navigation, and Data Processing.
- All Level 2, Level 1, or task-based competencies held must be current.
- Basic technical knowledge of Communications, Navigation, Radar, ATM, and other airport systems is required.
- Basic knowledge of GCAA Civil Aviation Regulations, ICAO standards and recommended practices, ATC and customer procedures, and CNS annual Safety Objectives is required.
- Understanding electrical circuits, components, and IT networks is advantageous.
Skills and language
- Fluent written and spoken English to the recognized IELTS or UAE ELP level.
- Good communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and resourceful teamwork are sought.
- Computer literacy and MS Office skills are required.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematic diagrams is advantageous.
Permits and application processing
An Airfield Driving Permit is preferred; a personal airport driving permit relevant to local airports is listed among the skills.
