About This Role
Job Summary
The Tower Crane Erector is responsible for the safe assembly, installation, climbing, and dismantling of tower cranes in accordance with manufacturer specifications and site safety regulations. The role requires technical expertise, coordination with lifting teams, and strict adherence to HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and erect tower cranes as per approved method statements and manufacturer guidelines
- Carry out climbing (height extension) and dismantling operations safely
- Perform pre-erection inspections and ensure all components are in good condition
- Coordinate with lifting supervisors, riggers, and operators during operations
- Ensure compliance with project safety procedures and local regulations (UAE standards)
- Conduct load testing and assist in commissioning of cranes
- Maintain records of erection activities, inspections, and checklists
- Identify and report any faults, risks, or unsafe conditions
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in tower crane erection (high-rise projects preferred)
- Strong knowledge of crane components, rigging, and lifting operations
- Experience with different crane types (luffing jib, hammerhead, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manuals
- Physically fit and capable of working at heights
- Valid certifications/training in crane erection or lifting operations preferred

HSE Requirements
- Strict adherence to HSE policies and procedures
- Proper use of PPE (safety harness, helmet, gloves, etc.)

Preferred
- UAE/GCC construction experience
- Familiarity with major crane brands (e.g., Liebherr, Potain, etc.)
