The Accountant – MIS is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and maintaining financial and management reports to support business decision-making.
The role involves data analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, ERP system management, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for management review.
- Generate financial reports, dashboards, and performance analysis reports.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Reconcile financial records and ensure data accuracy across systems.
- Monitor project costs, expenses, revenues, and profitability.
- Maintain and update accounting and ERP databases.
- Prepare management reports on cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and project performance.
- Coordinate with various departments to collect and validate financial and operational data.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and system efficiencies.
- Assist auditors by providing required reports and supporting documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting and MIS reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, dashboards, and reporting tools).
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in the construction, contracting, or real estate sector.
- Knowledge of Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with project accounting and cost control reporting.
