Seeking a skilled, detail-oriented specialist experienced in fabrics and textiles, especially precise measuring, cutting, joining, and finishing.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut fabrics accurately to required dimensions without damaging or pulling threads.
- Work carefully with woven, wool, silk-like, and delicate materials; create neat edges, joints, seams, and finishing details.
- Match patterns when required and maintain alignment when handling large fabric pieces.
- Identify fabric grain, direction, and pattern before cutting; minimize fraying, loose threads, uneven edges, and waste.
- Use cutting tools carefully, inspect completed work, correct small imperfections, and maintain clean workmanship.
Ideal candidate
- Excellent attention to detail, strong hand-cutting and measuring skills, and patience with precision work.
- Experience in textiles, tailoring, curtains, upholstery, fashion production, fabric cutting, or similar work.
- Able to work accurately with expensive and delicate materials and takes pride in clean finishing.
Work location
- Work is in person.
Commute or relocation
Reliable commute to Abu Dhabi or planning to relocate before starting is preferred.
