Role Description
The Territory Manager is a part-time, on-site role based in Dubai, responsible for driving regional growth and engagement for African Genomics Datahub.
This position involves identifying and developing relationships with healthcare institutions, research organizations, government entities, and industry partners to expand the company’s presence and services.
The Territory Manager will manage the sales pipeline, conduct meetings and presentations, and provide regular territory performance reports.
Responsibilities
include gathering market intelligence, understanding customer needs, and collaborating with internal teams to tailor solutions and support pilot projects or partnerships.
The role also involves attending relevant events, representing the organization in the territory, and ensuring a high standard of customer support and follow-up.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in territory management, business development, or sales, preferably in healthcare, life sciences, or technology.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage with senior decision-makers across institutions.
- Solid understanding of or interest in genomics, health data, or biomedical research, with the ability to learn complex concepts quickly.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English; additional regional languages are an advantage.
- Ability to work independently on-site in Dubai, manage a part-time schedule effectively, and prioritize multiple initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Public Health, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Middle East and African healthcare or research landscape and willingness to travel within the region as needed.
- Comfort using CRM tools, productivity software, and virtual collaboration platforms to track activities and report outcomes.
