TEMPORARY SAFETY OFFICER

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Enforce HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in offshore activities.
• Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments; identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and regular HSE training for site personnel.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports with root cause analysis and recommendations.
• Ensure PPE is available, properly used, and maintained.
• Assist with preparation, review, and updating of onshore emergency response and evacuation plans.
• Promote a strong safety culture through awareness campaigns and initiatives.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and authorities on safety compliance and audits.
• Maintain current safety inspection, incident, and regulatory compliance records.

Requirements

• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent is mandatory.
• Five years of experience as an HSE/Safety Officer in offshore oil and gas projects.
• Prior experience at Mesaieed Industrial City, required site approval, and a valid CPW are required.
• Four years of oil and gas experience is listed as preferred.

Workplace

• Work is in person; offshore activities and site work are central to the role.
