KPMG is hiring a Temporary Manager, Senior Event Management Engineer for its Digital Nexus organization.
The assignment is for twelve months and focuses on enterprise event management, automation, monitoring integrations, and operational reliability.
Responsibilities
- Develop services for event ingestion, transformation, enrichment, correlation, and automation using Python, JavaScript, and/or Go.
- Build and enhance IBM AIOps and IBM Netcool solutions for event management and noise reduction.
- Maintain event normalization, deduplication, correlation, enrichment, and policy-driven automation capabilities.
- Support topology data sources and entity relationship models for impact analysis and service visibility.
- Create REST API integrations, JSON-based event processing solutions, and workflow automations.
- Collaborate with monitoring, platform engineering, and operations teams to improve alert quality and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of recent experience in software development, automation engineering, platform integration, or event management.
- Hands-on experience with IBM Netcool/OMNIbus and Impact.
- At least a high school diploma or GED.
- Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Go with experience in automation, integrations, and event processing.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON data exchanges, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Strong Linux/UNIX administration and troubleshooting experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps, ServiceNow, CMDB/ITSM, SQL enrichment sources, Kafka or MQ, and Git-based CI/CD workflows is preferred.
