The teller supports daily branch transactions, cash handling, and customer service while ensuring accuracy and compliance with banking procedures.
Employment and compensation
- The role is full-time.
- Fixed salary is AED 3,000 per month.
Schedule and relocation
- The candidate must be flexible to work in shifts and relocate.
Responsibilities
- Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other branch transactions.
- Verify customer identification and transaction compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Handle cash accurately and balance the cash drawer at each shift's end.
- Provide basic banking product information and refer customers to relevant teams.
- Identify and escalate suspicious or potentially fraudulent activity under AML requirements.
- Maintain accurate transaction records and documentation.
- Provide courteous service, assist with customer queries, and support branch operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; a Finance, Business, or related degree is an advantage.
- Previous bank teller, cashier, branch operations, or customer service experience is preferred.
- Strong numerical ability, attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of cash handling, KYC, AML, and banking procedures is preferred.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced branch environment.
- UAE banking or exchange-house experience is an advantage.
