Provides technical and IT support to users of desktop devices, systems, and applications at the Supreme Legislation Committee.
Technical support and maintenance
- Implement support work plans for desktop devices including computers, telephones, printers, and scanners.
- Resolve routine and emergency issues affecting desktop devices, systems, and applications.
- Monitor system and software controls, device and peripheral operation, and software installation.
- Respond to user requests and follow up through the Help Desk system.
- Coordinate preventive, corrective, and emergency device maintenance and timely repairs.
- Support emergency operating-system reinstallation and document operating systems and updates.
Systems, users, and service improvement
- Provide technical support and user training for desktop operating systems.
- Review technical proposals for desktop devices, software, and applications and provide recommendations.
- Monitor network connections for devices and software; manage network and email accounts and recommend improvements.
- Install applications that address evolving work needs and user issues.
- Propose device and software upgrades, including measures supporting ISO 27001 information security requirements.
- Prepare cybersecurity awareness communications and periodic reports; attend IT meetings and committees and follow up on decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least three years of relevant professional experience.
