Role overview
Provide technical leadership and support to Aftermarket Services customers and field service engineers in the Middle East industrial gases and LNG industry.
Lead technical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance support for cryogenic equipment.
Responsibilities
- Support customers, customer centers, and field service engineers onsite and remotely.
- Develop standard technical tools and procedures.
- Assist the sales group with technical and commercial bids as needed.
- Review teardown reports and help determine failures.
- Review Field Trouble Reports, determine dispositions, and implement quality solutions.
- Oversee Field Service and Field Trouble reports after site services.
- Analyze failures, prepare corrective actions, and perform root cause analysis.
- Improve equipment reliability and reduce customer downtime.
- Coordinate warranty and technical issues with product companies and recommend product improvements.
- Train customers onsite in troubleshooting, equipment operation, and maintenance.
- Work with other units, workshops, and project managers on technical oversight of overhauls, repairs, and warranties.
- Keep current with new product company designs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of related experience.
- Practical engineering experience with pumping systems or related products.
- Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, and process blueprints and technical documentation.
- Cryogenic equipment and aftermarket services experience is highly preferred.
- Work in office and shop environments at customer and company sites; travel and stays at those sites are part of the role.
