Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Remote Technical Account Managers to understand objectives of their projects, and be able to design and execute projects to accomplish these objectives.
  • Execute projects to expand the Dairy team’s technical knowledge related to specific Dairy product sub-categories or related to Tate & Lyle ingredients
  • Conceptualize, design, and execute projects in a scientific and statistical manner in collaboration with team members.
  • Execute projects in the pilot plant using known and industry recognized processing procedures using a wide range of industry standard processing equipment.
  • Learn how to operate and run relevant pilot plant equipment.
  • Translate project data into meaningful results and conclusions. Provide recommendations and communicate results in a clear and concise manner
  • Deliver customer and/or internal technical presentations, as needed.
  • Other duties as required to support the NOAM Dairy Technical Service team

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or a BS degree with at least 2 years of experience is required, preferably in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering or related area of study.
  • Expertise in writing technical summaries, reports, and presentations
  • Knowledge of dairy science, dairy products formulating, and dairy products processing
  • Demonstrates ability to deliver results where high levels of ambiguity initially existed. Good problem-solving skills and quick decision-making capability.
  • Ability to navigate a matrixed environment and build strong relationships with internal peers, sales, commercial and customers
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Highly self-motivated and ability to work independently

  • Tate & Lyle complies with all local/state regulations requiring salary range transparency. When determining final compensation, we take into consideration: skillset, job scope, knowledge, prior experience, cost of living, market data, budget availability, and other factors as permitted by law.
  • The salary range for this position is: $57,000 - $85,000.
