Drive growth in data center services by selling certification, testing and advisory services, developing partnerships and supporting customer projects through delivery.
The role focuses on expanding the company's data center services presence across the Middle East.
Sales and business development
- Develop sales strategies for QA/QC, data center assessments and advisory, certification, and testing and commissioning services.
- Pursue opportunities with data center owners, colocation providers, hyperscalers, system integrators, consultants and contractors.
- Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation through contract closure.
- Prepare proposals, presentations and bids; negotiate contracts, pricing and scope.
- Build relationships with regulatory authorities and leading associations.
Technical and client delivery
- Advise clients on data center requirements and recommend appropriate service solutions.
- Work with delivery teams to define scope, methodologies, timelines and resource needs.
- Support certification processes, including ISO 22237, ISO 27001 and cybersecurity.
- Provide presales technical support, including RFP/RFQ responses and solution architecture discussions.
- Serve as the primary client contact throughout sales and delivery, align commitments with execution, and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
Market engagement
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies in the data center industry.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences and client meetings; share market demands and service improvement feedback with management.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field; an MBA or commercial qualification is a plus.
- 5–10 years of experience in technical sales, business development or project management within the data center industry.
- Proven experience selling data center services, including QA/QC, assessments and advisory, testing and commissioning, or certification.
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, BMS, fire protection and redundancy concepts.
- Familiarity with emerging power technologies and standards such as TIA-942, UTI or ISO 22237 is advantageous.
Skills
- Strong technical and commercial acumen, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value; strategic, results-driven approach and stakeholder relationship management.
- Willingness to travel as required.
