About Senpilot

Senpilot builds AI agents to automate utility workflows, including engineering processes, regulatory filings, and compliance.

The company develops an intelligence layer for utility data and critical infrastructure, with a focus on safety, resilience, and efficiency.

The team combines expertise in AI systems, data engineering, and energy infrastructure.

The role

Own day-to-day technical execution for Senpilot’s Regulatory AI Agent, a product for energy regulatory work.

The product draws on a database of more than 10 million historical filings and an intelligence layer for regulatory teams.

The role reports to the CTO and combines roadmap execution, customer and user collaboration, analytics, prototyping, and engineering delivery.

This is a hands-on, technically deep role that includes writing specifications and prototyping with AI tools.

What you’ll do

  • Shape the roadmap with leadership and regulatory subject matter experts, turning strategic objectives into near-term deliverables.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into well-scoped engineering work and keep day-to-day priorities and tickets executable.
  • Own customer activation and use product analytics to diagnose and improve feature adoption.
  • Ship prototypes rapidly, gather user feedback, and iterate rather than waiting for a later sprint.
  • Prototype with tools such as Claude or Cursor to reduce risk before engineering builds.
  • Work with design on user flows and keep specifications, mockups, and tickets aligned across design and engineering.
  • Use AI tools in your workflow to improve output.

What you’ll bring

  • At least 3 years of product management experience; B2B or enterprise SaaS experience is ideal.
  • Hands-on software engineering experience is a major plus.
  • Ability to work in a complex regulated domain; regulatory or energy experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on fluency with AI coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code, sufficient to build a working prototype.
  • Experience running close, high-trust loops with design and engineering on lean teams.
  • Action-oriented approach, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a low-ego working style.

Work location

  • The company describes its work arrangement as flexible hybrid and gathers at its downtown Toronto office once a week.
  • Candidates should be able to join the team in person on the weekly office day.

Compensation and benefits

  • Estimated base salary range in Canada is CAD 120,000–160,000; the posting says most new hires join near the midpoint and pay may vary.
  • Benefits include equity, health coverage for employees and dependents, 20 vacation days, and 5 year-end flex days.
