Role Overview

BOLD is seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to own its jobs platform.

The platform spans job ingestion, cleansing, indexing, search, matching, recommendations, offline notifications, and user-facing product interfaces.

The role requires breadth across architecture, data engineering and science, development, analytics, and product management.

The platform operates at scale across millions of jobs and job seekers.

Platform Team

The BOLD Platform Services team designs, creates, manages, and maintains highly scalable distributed services for web and mobile products.

The services use a microservices architecture covering visitor tracking, user profiles, authentication, content, and payments.

The technology environment includes .NET, Python, Java, SQL Server, MySQL, graph databases, Solr, and other tools serving millions of users.

What You Will Do

  • Work with North America product leadership to understand jobs product needs and use cases.
  • Define the platform technical vision and roadmap with senior engineering management and architecture.
  • Build mechanisms to measure jobs quality, coverage, and relevance with data teams and data scientists.
  • Analyze vendor feed quality and coverage.
  • Improve job recommendations and search capabilities.
  • Build dashboards for product, executive, and analytics stakeholders.
  • Identify jobs data quality issues and gaps.
  • Build jobs evaluation machine learning models with the data science team.
  • Evaluate jobs data coverage within the BOLD system.
  • Translate business requirements into end-to-end solutions.
  • Design web-scale products using sound coding practices and open-source tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve jobs data pipelines.

What You Will Need

  • At least 10 years of experience as a Technical Product Manager.
  • Experience in the jobs domain, including job matching and recommendations.
  • Understanding of technology stacks and the effort required to make technical decisions.
  • A record of ownership, strategic thinking, and successful delivery in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with experience influencing senior executives.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills using data and metrics to drive decisions.
  • An engineering or master's degree, preferably in computer science or a related field.
  • Practical ability to read and understand APIs.
