Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Architectural, Structural, Electrical, and Mechanical disciplines.
- Review and approve drawings and technical documents prior to construction issuance.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, project specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor engineering and design progress against project schedules and milestones.
- Manage design changes and ensure proper documentation and implementation.
- Coordinate with BIM teams to identify and resolve interdisciplinary clashes.
- Provide technical support to site teams and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Review and approve shop drawings, technical submittals, and material submissions.
- Implement Value Engineering initiatives to optimize project cost and efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on technical office activities and project progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction and contracting projects.
- Proven experience in Technical Office Management within contracting companies.
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards, specifications, and construction practices.
- Experience in managing shop drawings, technical submittals, RFIs, and design coordination activities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple disciplines and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
