Technical Lead / Data Architect

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture and implementation; design high- and low-level lakehouse layers for raw, standardized, and curated data.
• Design Customer 360 data models and source-to-target mappings from GCP Data Lake and Oracle OCI.
• Build GCP pipelines and contribute hands-on SQL/Python development; lead a 6–8 person team and conduct technical reviews.
• Implement identity resolution, deterministic/probabilistic matching, and survivorship rules; establish quality, reconciliation, lineage, and metadata frameworks.
• Design Power BI semantic models with RLS/OLS and support embedding with Dynamics 365.
• Ensure security, encryption, audit logging, KSA data residency, and PDPL compliance; support AI-ready foundations with BigQuery ML, Gemini, or Vertex AI where applicable.

Required experience and qualifications

• 10+ years in data architecture and/or data engineering; 3+ years hands-on GCP experience.
• 5+ years of SQL and Python experience, with recent hands-on development.
• Experience with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Run and/or GKE, IAM and GCP networking, Airflow, and dbt.
• Experience with lake/lakehouse architecture, data modeling and integration; strong Customer 360, MDM, and identity-resolution experience.
• Power BI semantic modeling, RLS/OLS, and Dynamics 365 integration experience.
• Regulated/sensitive-data experience and knowledge of PDPL, KSA data residency, encryption, and audit controls.
• Insurance or banking data experience is strongly preferred; Saudi/KSA financial-sector experience is an advantage.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Saudi Arabia and able to work on-ground in Riyadh; English is required.
• Must balance hands-on engineering, architecture, and technical leadership; architecture/team management without recent implementation experience is unsuitable.

Pay

• Pay is SAR 8,000–10,000 per month.
