About the Client:
We're partnering with a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy based in Abu Dhabi, with over 50 years of international experience delivering innovative, sustainable solutions across healthcare, infrastructure, education, commercial, and residential projects throughout the UAE and beyond.
Technical Director
is responsible for leading and overseeing the
Design and Supervision functions
across multidisciplinary engineering projects.
The role ensures technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and alignment between design intent and site execution from project inception through construction and final handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multidisciplinary engineering design and supervision teams
- Act as the highest technical authority for design approvals and engineering decisions
- Ensure alignment between design intent and construction execution
- Oversee project delivery from concept through handover
- Monitor technical performance, budgets, QA/QC, and risk management
- Manage coordination between design, supervision, tendering, and finance teams
- Represent the company in executive meetings with clients and stakeholders
- Mentor senior engineers, discipline heads, and project teams
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred)
- PMP Certification
- PE License or equivalent preferred
- 20+ years of industry experience
- 15+ years in engineering consultancy
- 10+ years within a UAE engineering consulting firm
- Strong knowledge of UAE regulations and authority approval processes
- Fluent in English and Arabic
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams
Technical Skills
- AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, ETABS, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of engineering design and construction supervision
- QA/QC systems and risk management experience
- BIM coordination knowledge preferred

Reporting line: Report directly to the Vice Chairman
